Old Fashioned Pie? Yes Please!
There is something about an old fashioned pie that just screams “Comfort Food”. And you know that here at Bubba Pie, we are all about the comfort food. It’s funny, as popular as pies are as a dessert, I feel like I hardly hear of anyone making one of my favorites: Banana Cream Pie. It seems like more of something you’d find at a restaurant or a diner than at home. But, the truth is, Banana Cream Pies can be super quick and easy to make.
By using Instant Pudding Mix and a premade Graham Cracker Crust, you can cut a whole bunch of time off of this Banana Cream Pie recipe. Now you can easily bring that down home flavor to your next dinner party or cookout. It is light, fluffy and delicious! Your guests won’t be able to just have one piece.

How Long Will A No Bake Banana Cream Pie Last?
Your No Bake Banana Cream Pie should last about 3 days when kept in the refrigerator. Always keep it covered with a plastic lid or plastic wrap as much as possible. We all know that bananas can brown quickly. If your worried about them browning while you are making the pie or during its presentation, you can always treat them with some citric juice, lemon and lime juice work great.
Other Variations
If it’s important to you, you can always substitute in your favorite homemade pie crust recipe. I know that some people are pretty picky about using a homemade crust!
You can also put some fun toppings on your banana cream pie to liven things up even more. Some coconut flakes sprinkled on top would be delicious. Or, you could introduce chocolate into the equation! Mini chocolate chips on top or some crumbles or oreo cookies would be fantastic!
Enjoy!

Mine has been in the fridge for almost 24 hours and hasn’t set…I can’t figure out why…
Brittany says
There is an error in your printed directions. For the whipped cream, it says ” 4 powdered sugar” and it needs to have tablespoons. Made the mistake of using 4 cups 😣.
Kathy says
Thank you for letting us know… I will get that fixed! I bet that was pretty sweet. So sorry.
Vanessa says

Kathy says
I love it when the kids want to help! Thank you for the feedback!
Monica says
Is it 2 cups or 3 cups heavy whipping cream?
Kathy says
Its 3 cups of the whipped cream, after whipping the 2 cups of liquid heavy cream there should be at least 4 cups of whipping cream.
Tony says
Can this be frozen
Kathy says
I have not done that but I would think that it would be okay to do it.
Samantha says
Do you prepare the pudding first?
Kathy says
No, use the pudding mix as it suggests in the recipe.
Pam Jacques says
I couldn’t get the peaks out of whipping cream and confectioner sugar. What did I do wrong.?
Heidi says
I mashed 2 bananas and added that to vanilla pudding. I followed the rest of the recipe to a t and it did not set. Would the bananas be the reason it was a liquid instead of a pie?
Kathy says
That could be. If there is too much moisture the filling wouldn’t set.
J says
My pie is not setting. The pudding is pure liquid.
Kathy says
You prepared the pudding filling until thick and folded it with the whipped cream and it didn’t set? That is strange.
