By now, Red Lobster is FAMOUS for it’s biscuits. Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits are soft, warm and baked to that perfect golden brown color… Yum! By the time your main course comes, you are probably already stuffed because you just couldn’t say “no” to one more biscuit.
Bubba Pie is devoted to all things “comfort food”. And wolfing down these Cheesy Garlic Biscuits at Red Lobster is definitely a comforting thing to do! So, we thought that we’d make our own version. To make things even easier, we are using Bisquick for a quick preparation. After that, just a couple minutes in the oven for fresh, homemade Bisquick Garlic Cheddar Biscuits!

We LOVE using Bisquick as an ingredient in ALL SORTS of things. We’ve used it to make everything from Chicken Fingers to Apple Cobbler!
Ok, so you’ve got your Bisquick. What else are you gonna need? Here is what you’ll need to get started:
- 2 cups bisquick baking mix

The Perfect Rolls For Any Meal
What I love about these Bisquick Garlic Cheddar Biscuits is that they will go with just about any meal. That would even work as a Thanksgiving recipe to serve with your Herb Butter Turkey. Or at Christmas with your Slow Cooker Ham!
Or, you gotta love some fresh baked warm biscuits along side a hearty soup on a cold Fall day. Try our Roasted Butternut Squash Soup or Crockpot Corn Chowder with Ham and Potato.
Notes, Tips and Variations
- SERVE WARM- These Biscuits definitely taste best warm. So, if need, heat them up a bit before serving.
- CUT SOME CALORIES- Let’s be honest, these are the most “healthy” dinner rolls that you could put in your belly. But they are TOTALLY worth the calories. But, if you are looking for a way to slim them down a bit, you could use Fat Free Milk to add to your Bisquick mix. I really wouldn’t mess with the fat content of the cheese, as reduced fat cheese just doesn’t melt as well.
- EXPERIMENT WITH CHEESE- Yes, these are called “Bisquick Garlic Cheddar Biscuits”, but you could play around with the cheese a bit. Maybe use extra sharp Cheddar or even White Cheddar. Or change it up completely. Just make sure that it is a Cheese that will melt well.
- ADD PARSLEY – Adding parsley won’t do much for the flavor, but it will add a little color to your biscuits.
- CAN YOU MAKE THIS GLUTEN FREE? – Yes. You can use Gluten-Free Bisquick to make this recipe gluten free.
