Here at Bubba Pie, we LOVE cookies. We don’t really discriminate, any sort of cookie will do! But we especially love a nice, soft and chewy cookie that is full on flavor.
At some point, we discovered the joys of using cake mix to create all sorts of yummy desserts. From Fall Classics like this Apple Pie Cake to probably the most delicious dessert recipe on this site, the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake! But we’ve also discovered that a store bought cake mix can make a really delicious cookie too!
Over the years, we’ve made Red Velvet Cookies and Strawberry Cookies, both this Cake Mix. And they were delicious. But one of my favorite cookies of all time is a Snickerdoodle Cooker. Buttery, sugary with just that slight spice of the cinnamon! A perfect cookie! So I decided to make some Cake Mix Snickerdoodles!
Cake Mix Snickerdoodles
These Snickerdoodle Cake Mix Cookies are SOOO easy to make. And only take 5 ingredients! Using Cake Mix to make desserts is the ultimate shortcut! Ready to get started? Here is what you’ll need:
- 1 ½ cups vanilla cake mix
- ¼ cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Notes, Tips and Variations For Cake Mix Snickerdoodles
- Use a Gluten Free cake mix to make these Gluten Free!
- Try to keep the dough balls the same size so that they bake evenly.
- Mix things up a bit by using French Vanilla or White Cake Mix!
- Can you freeze Cake Mix Snickerdoodles? Yep! Absolutely, put them in a freezer bag and allow them to cool at room temperature when your ready to eat them!
- Letting them cool on the wire rack after cooking is important! Get them off that baking sheet or they may overcook!

Cake Mix Snickerdoodles
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups vanilla cake mix
- ¼ cup butter melted and cooled
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, butter and egg. Mix until a thick cookie batter forms.

In a separate small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.

Roll the cookie dough into one inch spheres and coat each one in the sugar and cinnamon mixture by rolling it.

Place each cookie sphere gently onto a non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes and allow to cool on rolling rack.
