Christmas is quickly approaching and there are going to be all sorts of occasions to try out new recipes. This is true with Thanksgiving too! I’ve got a ton of Thanksgiving appetizers that I love to try out! One of the reasons that I love the holidays is that there are so many fun recipes to indulge upon. Whether it is an office party, pitch-in, potluck or other special holiday occasion, I have plenty of opportunities to spread some culinary holiday cheer around my friends and family! So, I’m always looking for a fun, easy recipe that really incorporates the Christmas spirit.
Santa Hat Appetizer
I found this recipe for Santa Hat Appetizers that is SO easy, quick and tasty and I just had to share it on here. You can probably make these in about 5 minutes. So that means you don’t have to slave away in the kitchen all morning in order to have a dish that will wow your guests. The ingredients are super simple, there are only 4 of them!
Santa Hat Appetizer Ingredients:
- 12 Monterey Jack Cheese Cracker Cuts
- 2 Red Bell Peppers
- 4 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 12 Town House Flatbread Crisps
Santa Hat Appetizer Directions
- Cut the bell peppers in half and clean out all the seeds, rinse well. Cut into small triangles and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Take the cheese and cut each piece in half. Place one piece on a cracker and top with a Santa hat (pepper).
- Place the softened cream cheese into a sandwich size baggie. Snip off a small piece of the corner. A piping bag can be used as well.
- Pipe 5-6 dots along the bottom of the pepper and 1 dot on the top to create the Santa hat.
- Serve and Enjoy as a festive Holiday appetizer.
- Makes 12 crackers.
Serve them on a fun holiday decorated plate and you have the ultimate Christmas appetizer recipe! We used Monterey Jack Cheese for this recipe, but feel free to experiment with different types of cheese. I think that swiss cheese would be really good, or even pepper jack to give it a little bit of a kick!
If you think you may be really cramped on time, you can always cut your red peppers into the triangles beforehand and keep them in a ziplock baggies. Then, just assemble your Santa Hat Appetizer crackers on-the-go!
