We Love Fruit Salads!
Fruit salads are a great idea for just about any occasion. From a formal holiday meal to a casual weekend cookout, fruit salads are one of those dishes that are great to share with friends and family. We’ve made a couple awesome recipes here on this website, like our Mexican Fruit Salad that combines tropical fruit with a little ancho chili seasoning to give it a little kick. It’s a perfect recipe for Cinco De Mayo. We’ve also made this 5 Cup Fruit Salad, a simple and light dish that uses only “five” ingredients! And this Caramel Apple Salad is light, creamy and delicious!
But We Love Hawaii Even More!
Last summer, we went with my husband’s family to Maui, and totally fell in love with just about everything Hawaiian. The sights, sounds, ocean and the cuisine! One of our favorite things that we did was to tour the Maui Gold Pineapple Farm. My husband had always said that he didn’t like Pineapples, but after having a REAL Hawaiian Pineapple, he was hooked. 8 of us went on the tour and received a free pineapple with our admission. So we came back with 8 Maui Gold Pineapples! Needless to say, for the next week, we were making a lot of recipes with Pineapple in them!
Hawaiian Cheesecake Salad Recipe
This is why I’m so excited about this Hawaiian Cheesecake Salad. Not only does it have juicy pineapple chunks in it, it’s also loaded with tons of other tropical fruit like mandarin oranges, kiwi and strawberries. The result is a smooth and creamy Hawaiian Fruit Salad!
What Is A Cheesecake Salad?
A lot of creamy fruit salad recipes can made in several different ways. I’ve seen them made with any combination of Heavy Whipping Cream, Cool Whip, Fresh Whipped Cream, Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt. What makes this Cheesecake Fruit Salad special is two ingredients: Cream Cheese and Cheesecake flavored Instant Pudding Mix! These ingredients give this dish a creamy, smooth texture and taste that mixes so well with the Tropical Hawaiian Fruit!
Can You Make This Hawaiian Cheesecake Salad Ahead Of Time?
You could probably make the cheesecake mixture ahead of time and keep it in it’s own bowl in the refrigerator. But I wouldn’t want to cut and mix all of the fruit up and let it all sit together for too long.
What Ingredients Will You Need For a Hawaiian Cheesecake Fruit Salad Recipe?
Like I said above, it’s a pretty easy and straightforward recipe that uses only a handful of ingredients:
- strawberries, washed, tops removed and quartered
- mandarin oranges, drained
- pineapple chunks, drained
- kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced and halved
- mangoes, cubed
- cream cheese, softened
- instant cheesecake flavored pudding
- french vanilla coffee creamer
What Other Ingredients Can You Put Into This Cream Cheese Fruit Salad?
We have a pretty solid tropical fruit showing of mangoes, kiwi, strawberry, pineapple and mandarin oranges. But there are some other options as well. This is one of those recipe that you can really make your own! Adding bananas to this recipe would be delicious! Just be careful to add them in right when you are ready to serve so they won’t brown. And if you are using Mangos like we did, make sure they are as ripe as possible. We got lucky with ours and it was the ripened perfectly!
I’ve also seen some versions of a Cheesecake Fruit Salad with mini marshmallows folded in as well! And finally, if you’re just not a HUGE fan of cheesecake flavor, you can taper it off a bit by using White Chocolate flavored Pudding Mix. The result will be a tad richer, but it will work!
I hope you enjoy this recipe and it transports you back to your favorite island vacation, no matter where you may be when you make it! I’d love to know how it turns out in the comments. Enjoy!

The recipe has no measurements. How much coffee creamer , what size box of pudding?
Kathy says
Oh my…! You are right. I have absolutely no idea how that happened. I’ve fixed it. Thanks!
Cecy says
Not sure about the jelli measurements.
Is it 4 oz?
Kathy says
Thanks. I fixed it.
Dee says
Silly question but do you actually make the pudding and then mix it in with the cream cheese and creamer. Or do you just sprinkle in the mix with the cream cheese and creamer?
Kathy says
Yep, you just sprinkle the mix in.
Pam Ratliff says
Can you use frozen mangoes?
Kathy says
We haven’t tried this. But if you do, I’d make sure you thaw them and get some of the access moisture out.
