  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour plus more for kneading
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into pieces and chilled
  • ¾ cup mashed sweet potatoes cooled

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and grease an 8-inch round cake pan with butter.
