Valentine’s Day Brown Sugar Blondies

This adorable recipe for Valentine’s Day Brown Sugar Blondies is the perfect treat to share with your sweetheart. Made with pink and red M&Ms, this would be a great thing to bring to a Valentine’s Day Party or an office Pitch-In.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar packed
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 2 ¼ cups a/p flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pink and red chocolate-covered candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Line a square pan (9×9) with parchment paper (and use extra to hang around the sides) and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt brown sugar and butter. Set aside and allow to cool.

  4. As the brown sugar mixture cools, sift together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.

  5. Whisk eggs and vanilla into the cooled brown sugar mixture.

  6. Slowly add dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
    Add dry mixture to wet blondie mixture
  7. Add half off the chocolate-covered candies into batter. Pour into lined baking pan.
  8. Top off with remaining candies.

  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the centre of the blondies.
  10. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Cut into 9 squares. Serve and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This recipe will make about 9 squares, but you can certainly cut them into any dimension that suites your needs. It would also be fun to garish with some white and red sprinkles to add a little extra flair.
