Valentine’s Day Brown Sugar Blondies

This adorable recipe for Valentine’s Day Brown Sugar Blondies is the perfect treat to share with your sweetheart. Made with pink and red M&Ms, this would be a great thing to bring to a Valentine’s Day Party or an office Pitch-In.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar packed
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 2 ¼ cups a/p flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pink and red chocolate-covered candies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Line a square pan (9×9) with parchment paper (and use extra to hang around the sides) and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt brown sugar and butter. Set aside and allow to cool.

  • As the brown sugar mixture cools, sift together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Whisk eggs and vanilla into the cooled brown sugar mixture.

  • Slowly add dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
    Add dry mixture to wet blondie mixture
  • Add half off the chocolate-covered candies into batter. Pour into lined baking pan.
  • Top off with remaining candies.

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the centre of the blondies.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Cut into 9 squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe will make about 9 squares, but you can certainly cut them into any dimension that suites your needs. It would also be fun to garish with some white and red sprinkles to add a little extra flair.
