Ham, Green Beans and Potatoes

This traditional recipe for Ham, Green Beans and Potatoes is just the thing for any special occasion or even an easy weeknight dinner. Made all in one pot, there is hardly any mess to clean up and you can have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cups chopped ham
  • 1 bag 16 oz, frozen french style beans
  • 8 red potatoes
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Cut each potato in half and then each half into quarters.
  • Add butter and an onion to a large stock pot and heat over medium heat until onions are tender.
  • Stir in ham, beans, potatoes and broth. Heat over medium high until boiling.
  • Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
  • Season with salt and pepper before serving.
