Fried Chicken Tacos

These Fried Chicken Tacos make a great family dinner or a fun game day snack for friends and family! Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts are hand breaded and fried to crispy golden perfection. Served on a tortilla with lettuce, cheese and a spicy ranch sauce, it's a great way to take Taco Tuesday to the next level of YUM!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Add oil to a pan and heat over medium heat.
  • In a shallow bowl, beat together the egg and milk.

  • In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Dip each chicken piece in the flour mixture, followed by the milk mixture, and into the flour mixture again.

  • Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown, between 10 and 15 minutes.

  • Transfer the cooked chicken to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Heat the tortillas according to the package instructions. Fill each tortilla with a layer of chicken, topped with coleslaw and cheese.

  • Make the spicy ranch dressing by stirring together the ranch dressing and hot sauce. Drizzle the sauce over the top of the tacos before serving.
