Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick, butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1-1/2 cup mashed ripe banana about 3 bananas
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tub 16 oz, cream cheese frosting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 10x15x1 baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, add butter and sugar and beat until fluffy, about 5 minutes, scraping down the bowl halfway through.

  • Add banana, eggs and vanilla and beat well. Beat in flour mixture just until combined.

  • Spread batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are brown, center is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan before adding frosting.

  • Spread frosting on top of the banana bars and cut and serve immediately or store loosely covered until ready to serve.
