CROCK POT  RED BEANS AND RICE

– 1 pound dry red beans rinsed – 1 package andouille sausage thinly sliced – 6 cups chicken broth – 1 onion finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic minced – 6 ounces tomato paste – 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper – 1 teaspoon dried thyme – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 2 cups white rice prepared – Salt and pepper to taste

- Add all the ingredients into the slow cooker except for the rice.

Stir all ingredients well.

- Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

- Enjoy this classic Southern Dish!
