Ingredients
For the pie:
1deep dish frozen pie shellthawed
2tbspcornstarch
¼cupsugar
4cupsfrozen cherries
1tbspbutter
For the streusel/crumble topping:
½cupall-purpose flour
¼cupbrown sugarpacked
¼cupbutter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar and frozen cherries.
Carefully pour the cherry mixture into the pie shell and dot with 1 tablespoon of butter.
In a small bowl, mix together streusel/crumble ingredients with a fork. Continue to mix until crumbly.
Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the pie.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. After 20 minutes of baking, cover the crust edges with aluminum foil. This will prevent it from overbaking/excessive browning.
