Lemon Shake Up

Beat back the heat of the summer with this cold and refreshing Lemon Shake Up! Sugary, sweet with just the right amount to lemon tart, this summer drink will be a favorite for the whole family!

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large lemons
  • Ice


  1. Boil water in a saucepan over high heat. When water is boiling, remove from heat. Add sugar and stir until it completely dissolves.
  2. Allow mixture to cool for 1 hour in a refrigerator.
  3. When mixture is ready, cut lemons in half. In a pint glass with a lid, squeeze the juice of a half of a lemon and throw the lemon halve on top. I like using a Mason Jar.
  4. Fill the jar completely with ice and pour the sugar water mixture over the ice. Secure the lid and shake until combined. Add a straw and enjoy!
