For The Apples
1tbspground cinnamon
¼tspnutmeg
1/3cupbrown sugarpacked
2tbspgranulated sugar
2applespeeled and chopped
1stick unsalted buttersoftened
For The Loaf
1cupgranulated sugar
2large eggs
1tspvanilla extract
1 ½cupsa/p flour
2tspbaking powder
½cupwhole milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Coat a standard 9-inch loaf pan with butter. Then, sprinkle with flour and coat evenly. Set aside.
Mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, and both sugars in a small bowl.
Add apples in a separate bowl and add half of the sugar mixture. Coat thoroughly. Set aside.
In a large bowl and using an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until all wet ingredients are thoroughly combined.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
Slowly add dry ingredients into wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
Pour half of the batter into loaf pan, then add half coated apples.
Pour remaining batter and add remaining apples. Sprinkle and garnish with remaining sugar mixture.
Bake for 1 hour or until completely baked. Remove from pan and allow to cool for at about 15-20 minutes.
