Ingredients

  • 1 package 16 oz, bacon
  • 18 fresh brussels sprouts
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with foil. Set aside.
  • Wrap each brussels sprout in bacon. Start by placing the sprout on one end of the bacon and roll the bacon around the sprout and place on prepared baking sheet, making sure the end of the bacon is placed down.
  • Repeat until all bacon is used and all sprouts are wrapped. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bacon is cooked and crispy.
  • Place a toothpick in each sprout and serve hot.

Notes

This recipe is SOOOO easy. It really is only two ingredients. Yes, we added some pepper, but this recipe certainly doesn't need it. If you are not a big fan of pepper, you can certainly omit it and let the bacon do it's work alone.
We used a 16  ounce package of bacon that had 18 slices in it. That translated to just over about a half of a pound of fresh brussels sprouts to use all of the bacon.
Although we didn't try this variation this time, I have seen people make their Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts with some maple syrup added. It would be easy to do this if you wanted to try. Just add 1/4 cup of maple syrup to the recipe. Then lay out the bacon strips flat and brush each one with maple syrup before using them to wrap up the brussels sprouts.
