INGREDIENTS
– 3 red onions – 3 garlic cloves – ground black pepper – 3 cups water – 3/4 cup white vinegar – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon pepper – 3 pint jars

1. Divide onion slices into each of the three jars and pack them with onions. 2. Top each jar with 2 garlic halves. 3. Season the top of each jar with ground black pepper. Set aside. 4. Add water, vinegar, salt and pepper into a skillet and heat over medium high heat until boiling. Let boil for 2 minutes before removing from heat. 5. Carefully poor into each jar. Let stand to cool. 6. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
