INGREDIENTS: – 2 cups flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon cream of tartar – ¼ teaspoon salt – 1 cup butter, room temperature – 2 cups sugar – 2 eggs – 1 teaspoon lemon extract – 1 tablespoon Meyer lemon juice – 1 teaspoon Meyer lemon zest

1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt. Set aside. 2. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy. 3. Add the eggs, lemon extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Beat to combine. 4. Add the flour mixture and mix.  5. Cover and chill for one hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 6. Scoop out dough onto lined baking sheet. Bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
